When words fall short, we turn to paper.
Landscapes of Letting Go is a workshop for anyone craving a creative release—a way to process, reflect, and rebuild through hands-on artmaking. Together, we’ll create abstract torn paper collages that reflect both what we’re carrying and what we’re ready to set down.
This isn’t about picture-perfect results. It’s about process.
We begin by painting and texturing our own papers using simple mixed media methods—designed to spark spontaneity and flow. Then we tear, arrange, and layer those papers into abstract landscapes that capture the mood, memory, or emotion you bring to the page.
Let go of perfection. Let go of pressure. Let go of needing to know what’s next.
We’re here to explore—and maybe breathe a little easier when it’s done.
What You’ll Learn:
•Mixed media techniques for making your own expressive collage materials
•How to work intuitively and emotionally with color, shape, and texture
•Composition tips for balance, movement, and contrast
•Creative ways to reflect and process through art
•A no-pressure approach to abstract collage that’s all about discovery
You’ll Leave With:
•A custom set of torn collage papers, made by you
•One or more abstract paper landscapes
•A few aha moments and a fresh creative spark
•Access to the full replay so you can revisit anytime
•The sense that you can let go—and still create something beautiful
Let the paper hold what your heart can’t carry alone.
This is a replay of a live workshop. You have immediate lifetime access to the workshop so you can revisit it anytime.
Come rip, layer, and reimagine—right alongside me.
I love being part of Collage Lab's world.
Kelly is an amazing teacher and inspirator. She is very generous with knowledge and doesn't gatekeep. She teaches many different ways of using collage and mixed media so you can find your own style while still being guided in solid art foundations. Kelly ALWAYS makes my brain buzz with ideas, and I find myself taking days or weeks exploring just one idea she demonstrated.
Kelly is my happy art place.
