This week’s Lab Notes are a mix of creative fuel, community celebration, and one cow fact I had to share.
On my worktable… PANDORA’S PALETTE – I haven’t taken an online art class in quite some time, but I couldn’t resist diving into my friend Diana Garrison’s latest offering. My first go at random colors on the gel plate are nothing to write home about, but Diana’s class is perfect for the color-obsessed.

What I’m rewatching… Our current masterclass in the membership is Abstracted & Deconstructed – the abstracting’s been great fun and next session, we’ll start deconstructing with Décollage, so I’m revisiting this YouTube video.
What I’m celebrating – Moon Over Water Gallery has new owners, so we gathered together Sunday to thank our founders, Karen & Sharen, and wish them well.

Down the Rabbit Hole… One of the assignments for this week’s abstract class is inspired by Rex Ray – this book is pure eye candy and this PBS documentary is great, too. (Support your local PBS station!)
What made me smile… Learned something new this summer. Cows like watermelon! 🍉 This is Lulu, a sweet little calf, looking pretty contented after chomping on a watermelon rind.
